Tale and Gabel bring their combined knowledge of theater and dance together in a workshop that eases dancers into speaking on stage or actors into moving and speaking. We approach movement and language equally with a focus on multi-tasking. For practicing text we use the in-ear method; listening to text and saying it as you hear it. This allows for a quite blunt, uncensored way of performing that eliminates the filter of good or bad and focuses the performer on just doing the tasks. We work with a similar approach to movement: seeing and copying for immediate and unedited movement generation. It is a group work that focuses on the individual getting out of their own way to develop a strong stage presence while using both the body and the voice.
